REDUNDANCY PAYMENTS (DUNDALK PORT DOCKERS) REGULATIONS, 1973.

I, MICHAEL O'LEARY, Minister for Labour, in exercise of the power conferred on me by section 35 of the Redundancy Payments Act, 1967 (No. 21 of 1967), hereby make the following regulations:

1. These Regulations may be cited as the Redundancy Payments (Dundalk Port Dockers) Regulations, 1973.

2. For the purposes of the Redundancy Payments Acts, 1967 and 1971, the Dundalk Port Users and Master Stevedores Association shall be treated as the employer of all dockers working in Dundalk port.

EXPLANATORY NOTE.

The purpose of these regulations is to provide that for the purpose of calculating redundancy payments entitlements of workers disemployed under a scheme of rationalisation of dockers employed in Dundalk Port, their periods of service with member firms of the Dundalk Port Users and Master Stevedores Association can be aggregated.
