DEMERSAL FISH (HANDLING, STORAGE AND TRANSPORT) REGULATIONS, 1973.

I, JOHN FAHEY, Parliamentary Secretary to the Minister for Agriculture and Fisheries, in exercise of the powers conferred on me by section 8 (1) of the Sea Fisheries Act, 1952 (No. 7 of 1952), and the Fisheries (Transfer of Departmental Administration and Ministerial Functions Order, 1965 ( S.I. No. 83 of 1965 ) (as adapted by the Agriculture (Alteration of Name of Department and Title of Minister) Order, 1965 ( S.I. No. 146 of 1965 )), and the Fisheries (Delegation of Ministerial Functions) Order, 1970 ( S.I. No. 123 of 1970 ), and after due compliance with section 8 (2) of the said Act, hereby order as follows:

1. These Regulations may be cited as the Demersal Fish (Handling, Storage and Transport) Regulations, 1973.

2. These Regulations shall come into operation on the 1st day of February, 1973.

3. In these Regulations "the Principal Regulations" mean the Demersal Fish (Handling, Storage and Transport) Regulations, 1967 ( S.I. No. 223 of 1967 ).

4. The Principal Regulations are hereby amended by—

( a ) the substitution of "master" for "skipper" in Regulation 7 (c)

( b ) the substitution for the Schedule thereto of the following:
