DISEASES OF ANIMALS ACT, 1966 (FIRST SCHEDULE) (AMENDMENT) ORDER, 1972.

I, JAMES GIBBONS, Minister for Agriculture and Fisheries, in exercise of the powers conferred on me by sections 3 and 11 of the Diseases of Animals Act, 1966 (No. 6 of 1966), hereby order as follows:

1. (1) This Order may be cited as the Diseases of Animals Act, 1966 (First Schedule) (Amendment) Order, 1972.

(2) The Diseases of Animals Act, 1966 (First Schedule) (Amendment) Orders, 1968 and 1971, and this Order may be cited together as the Diseases of Animals Act, 1966 (First Schedule) (Amendment) Orders, 1968 to 1972.

2. In this Order "the Act" means the Diseases of Animals Act, 1966 (No. 6 of 1966).

3. For all the purposes of the Act, the First Schedule to the Act (as amended by the Diseases of Animals Act, 1966 (First Schedule) (Amendment) Orders, 1968 and 1971), is hereby amended by the insertion in Part III thereof at the end of Class A of the following :

"12. Swine Vesicular Disease."

EXPLANATORY NOTE.

This Order extends the definition of " disease " in the Diseases of Animals Act, 1966 to include Swine Vesicular Disease.
