CONTROL OF IMPORTS (QUOTA No. 31) (REVOCATION) ORDER, 1972.

The Government, in exercise of the powers conferred on them by section 11 of the Control of Imports Act, 1934 (No. 12 of 1934), hereby order as follows:

1. This Order may be cited as the Control of Imports (Quota No. 31) (Revocation) Order, 1972.

2. This Order shall come into operation on the 1st day of January, 1973.

3. The Interpretation Act, 1937 (No. 38 of 1937), applies to this Order.

4. The Control of Imports (Quota No. 31) Order, 1936 (S.R. & O., No. 238 of 1936), which prohibited, subject to certain exceptions and qualifications, the importation into the State of certain electric filament lamps, is hereby revoked.

EXPLANATORY NOTE.

This Instrument removes, as from 1st January, 1973, the quota restriction on the importation of certain Electric Filament Lamps.
