INDUSTRIAL TRAINING (FOOD, DRINK AND TOBACCO COMMITTEE) (AMENDMENT) ORDER, 1972.

An Chomhairle Oiliúna, in exercise of the powers conferred on it by Section 24 of the Industrial Training Act, 1967 (No. 5 of 1967), hereby makes the following order: —

1. This Order may be cited as the Industrial Training (Food, Drink and Tobacco Committee) (Amendment) Order, 1972.

2. In this Order "the Order of 1970" means the Industrial Training (Food, Drink and Tobacco Committee) Order, 1970.

3. The Order of 1970 and this Order may be cited together as the Industrial Training (Food, Drink and Tobacco Committee) Orders, 1970 and 1972.

4. Paragraph 3 of the Order of 1970 is hereby amended by the substitution of "twenty-eight ordinary members" for "twenty-six ordinary members."

5. The following paragraph is hereby substituted for paragraph 5 of the Order of 1970:

"The ordinary members of the Committee shall include thirteen workers' members, thirteen employers' members, one educational member and one other ordinary member."

6. Paragraph 6 (b) of the Order of 1970 is hereby amended by the substitution of "thirteen persons" for "twelve persons."

EXPLANATORY NOTE.

An Chomhairle Oiliúna (The Industrial Training Authority) was established under the Industrial Training Act, 1967 , to promote training in industry and commerce.

The Industrial Training (Food, Drink and Tobacco Committee) Order, 1970 ( S.I. No. 3 of 1970 ) established an industrial training committee, to be known as the Food, Drink and Tobacco Industry Training Committee, to advise and assist An Chomhairle as respects the performance of its functions.

This Order amends the Industrial Training (Food, Drink and Tobacco Committee) Order, 1970, by increasing the number of committee members to twenty-eight ordinary members.
