MAXIMUM PRICES (INTOXICATING LIQUOR) (NO. 2) ORDER, 1972.

I, PATRICK J. LALOR, Minister for Industry and Commerce, in exercise of the powers conferred on me by sections 22A and 22C (inserted by the Prices (Amendment) Act, 1965 (No. 23 of 1965)) of the Prices Act, 1958 , (No. 4 of 1958), as amended by the Prices (Amendment) Act, 1972 (No. 20 of 1972), and the Prices Stabilisation Order, 1965 ( S.I. No. 208 of 1965 ), hereby order as follows :

1. This Order may be cited as the Maximum Prices (Intoxicating Liquor) (No. 2) Order, 1972.

2. This Order shall come into operation on the 13th day of November, 1972.

3. The Maximum Prices (Intoxicating Liquor) Order, 1972 ( S.I. No. 229 of 1972 ), is hereby amended by the substitution in column (3) of the Schedule—

(a) of "20p" for "19p" at reference number 3,

(b) of "10½p" for "10p" at reference number 4,

(c) of "12p" for "11½p" at reference number 7,

(d) of "13½p" for "13p" at reference number 10,

(e) of "39p" for "38p" at reference number 11,

(f) of "19½p" for "19p" at reference number 12,

(g) of "41p" for "40p" at reference number 13,

(h) of "20½p" for "20p" at reference number 14,

(i) of "59p" for "58p" at reference number 15,

(j) of "29½p" for "29p" at reference number 16,

(k) of "61p" for "60p" at reference number 17,

(l) of "30½p" for "30p" at reference number 18,

(m) of "38p" for "37p" at reference number 19,

(n) of "19p" for "18½p" at reference number 20,

(o) of "38p" for "37p" at reference number 21,

(p) of "19p" for "18½p" at reference number 22,

(q) of "38p" for "37p" at reference number 23 and

(r) of "19p" for "18½p" at reference number 24.

EXPLANATORY NOTE.

This Order increases the maximum prices at which certain types of intoxicating liquor may be sold in the urban district of Dundalk.

The existing maximum prices fixed for the area may be increased by:—

(a) ½p per half pint bottle of stout, ale and lager;

(b) 1p per pint bottle of stout, and

(c) ½2p per half glass of spirits.

No increase is being permitted in the prices of draught stout, ale and lager.
