SOCIAL WELFARE ACT, 1972 (APPOINTED DAY) ORDER, 1972.

The Minister for Social Welfare in exercise of the powers conferred on him by subsection (3) of section 15 of the Social Welfare Act, 1972 (No. 15 of 1972) hereby orders as follows:—

1. This Order may be cited as the Social Welfare Act, 1972 , (Appointed Day) Order, 1972.

2. The 2nd day of October 1972, is hereby appointed as the day on which section 15 of the Social Welfare Act, 1972 , shall come into operation.

EXPLANATORY NOTE.

This Order brings into operation on 2nd October, 1972, Section 15 of the Social Welfare Act, 1972 (No. 15 of 1972) which provides for the extension of certain provisions of the Social Welfare Act, 1952 (No. 11 of 1952) to members of Garda Síochána.
