AGRICULTURAL PRODUCTS (RESTRICTION OF EXPORT OF SUGAR SYRUPS, INVERT SUGAR AND LIQUID SUGAR) ORDER, 1972.

I, JAMES GIBBONS, Minister for Agriculture and Fisheries, in exercise of the powers conferred on me by Section 2 of the Agricultural and Fishery Products (Regulation of Export) Act, 1947 (No. 18 of 1947), and the Agricultural and Fishery Products (Regulation of Export) Act, 1947 (Transfer of Powers) Order, 1956 (Amendment) Order, 1963 ( S.I. No. 21 of 1963 ), as adapted by the Agriculture (Alteration of Name of Department and Title of Minister) Order, 1965 ( S.I. No. 146 of 1965 ), hereby order as follows:

1. This Order may be cited as the Agricultural Products (Restriction of Export of Sugar Syrups, Invert Sugar and Liquid Sugar) Order, 1972.

2. This Order shall come into operation on the 15th day of March, 1972.

3. Subject to Article 4 of this Order, the exportation of sugar syrups, invert sugar and liquid sugar save under and in accordance with a licence in that behalf issued under the Agricultural and Fishery Products (Regulation of Export) Act, 1947 (No. 18 of 1947), is hereby prohibited.

4. This Order shall not apply to the exportation by parcel post of sugar syrups, invert sugar or liquid sugar.

EXPLANATORY NOTE.

The effect of this Order is to apply as from 15th March, 1972, control on the export of sugar syrups, invert sugar and liquid sugar.
