REDUNDANCY PAYMENTS (DUBLIN PORT DOCKERS) REGULATIONS, 1971.

I, JOSEPH BRENNAN, Minister for Labour, in exercise of the power conferred on me by section 35 of the Redundancy Payments Act, 1967 (No. 21 of 1967), hereby make the following regulations:

1. These regulations may be cited as the Redundancy Payments (Dublin Port Dockers) Regulations, 1971.

2. For the purposes of the Redundancy Payments Act, 1967 (No. 21 of 1967), the Association of Dublin Stevedores Limited shall be treated as the employer of all dockers working in the deep sea section of the port of Dublin.

EXPLANATORY NOTE.

The purpose of these regulations is to provide that, for the purpose of calculating redundancy payments entitlements of workers disemployed under a scheme of decasualisation of dockers employed in the deep sea section of Dublin Port, their periods of service with member firms of the Association of Dublin Stevedores Limited can be aggregated.
