HARBOUR RATES (WICKLOW HARBOUR) ORDER, 1971.

I, BRIAN LENIHAN, Minister for Transport and Power, in exercise of the powers conferred on me by section 104 of the Harbours Act, 1946 (No. 9 of 1946), and the Transport, Fuel and Power (Transfer of Departmental Administration and Ministerial Functions) Order, 1959 ( S.I. No. 125 of 1959 ), and after compliance with section 106 of that Act, hereby order as folllows:

1. (1) This Order may be cited as the Harbour Rates (Wicklow Harbour) Order, 1971.

(2) This Order shall come into operation on the 22nd day of September, 1971.

2. The Harbour Rates (Wicklow Harbour) Order, 1949 ( S.I. No. 172 of 1949 ), shall have effect as if—

(i) the following Schedule were substituted for the First Schedule:

(ii) the Second Schedule were amended by—

(a) the substitution for the matter contained in the second and third columns of that Schedule at reference number 1 of the following:

"Tonnage rates on vessels other than those described at reference numbers 2 and 3 below.

(a) On every ton of the net register tonnage or of half the gross tonnage whichever is the greater of every vessel arriving from or sailing to a port in the State, Great Britain, Northern Ireland or the Isle of Man.

(b) On every ton of the net register tonnage or of half the gross tonnage whichever is the greater of every vessel arriving from or sailing to a port in Europe between the river Elbe and Brest including the Channel Islands.

(c) On every ton of the net register tonnage or of half the gross tonnage whichever is the greater of every vessel arriving from or sailing to a port not in the State, Great Britain, Northern Ireland, Isle of Man or in Europe between the river Elbe and Brest including the Channel Islands.

(d) On every ton of the net register tonnage or of half the gross tonnage whichever is the greater of every vessel arriving for shelter or repairs.

"Tonnage rates on fishing vessels

(i) On every fishing vessel entering the harbour for shelter or repairs, for each entry—

EXPLANATORY NOTE.
