IMPORTATION OF FOWL PEST VACCINE (PROHIBITION) ORDER, 1971.

I, JAMES GIBBONS, Minister for Agriculture and Fisheries, in exercise of the powers conferred on me by sections 3 and 30 of the Diseases of Animals Act, 1966 (No. 6 of 1966), hereby order as follows:—

1. (i) This Order may be cited as the Importation of Fowl Pest Vaccine (Prohibition) Order, 1971.

(ii) This Order shall come into operation on the 19th day of April, 1971.

2. In this Order "fowl pest vaccine" means vaccine containing the living, dead or inactivated virus of fowl pest.

3. The importation of fowl pest vaccine is hereby prohibited save under and in accordance with a licence granted in that behalf by the Minister for Agriculture and Fisheries.

EXPLANATORY NOTE.

This Order prohibits, except under licence granted by the Minister for Agriculture and Fisheries, the importation of fowl pest vaccine.
