ROAD TRAFFIC ACT, 1968 (COMMENCEMENT) ORDER, 1971.

The Minister for Local Government in exercise of the powers conferred on him by section 4 of the Road Traffic Act, 1968 (No. 25 of 1968), hereby orders as follows:—

1. This Order may be cited as the Road Traffic Act, 1968 (Commencement) Order, 1971.

2. The following provisions of the Road Traffic Act, 1968 , shall come into operation on the 13th day of January, 1971 :—

(a) section 63, and

(b) section 6 for the purpose of effecting the amendment of section 77 of the Road Traffic Act, 1961 (No. 24 of 1961).

EXPLANATORY NOTE.

This Order brings into operation section 63 of the Road Traffic Act, 1968 , with respect to the removal, storage and disposal of abandoned or unlawfully parked vehicles, and section 6 of the Act for the purpose of effecting the amendment of section 77 of the Road Traffic Act, 1961 (No. 24 of 1961) with respect to deposits for the purposes of Part VI of that Act.
