LIVE STOCK BREEDING (AMENDMENT) REGULATIONS, 1970.

I, JAMES GIBBONS, Minister for Agriculture and Fisheries, in exercise of the powers conferred on me by section 20 (1) of the Live Stock Breeding Act, 1925 (No. 3 of 1925), as adapted by the Agriculture (Alteration of Name of Department and Title of Minister) Order, 1965 ( S.I. No. 146 of 1965 ), hereby, with the consent of the Minister for Finance (in so far as the following regulations provide for the fixing of fees), make the following regulations:

1. (1) These Regulations may be cited as the Live Stock Breeding (Amendment) Regulations, 1970.

(2) These Regulations shall come into operation on the 1st day of December, 1970.

(3) The Live-Stock Breeding Regulations, 1925 (S.R. and O., No. 27 of 1925), and these Regulations may be cited together as the Live Stock Breeding Regulations, 1925 and 1970.

2. The Interpretation Act, 1937 (No. 38 of 1937) applies to these Regulations.

3. The Live-Stock Breeding Regulations, 1925, are hereby amended by the substitution of "two shillings" for "two shillings and sixpence" in Regulation 5 (4), in Regulation 9 (2) and in the form set out at (B) in the Schedule thereto.

EXPLANATORY NOTE

These Regulations, which come into effect on 1st December, 1970, prescribe a revised fee of two shillings each for a duplicate licence for a bull and a permit to fatten a bull for slaughter.
