DROGHEDA HARBOUR COMMISSIONERS (ADDITIONAL LOCAL AUTHORITY MEMBERS) ORDER, 1970.

WHEREAS the council of the county of Meath have agreed to assist the Drogheda Harbour Commissioners by making, pursuant to Section 7 of the Harbours Act, 1947 (No. 34 of 1947), a loan to the said Commissioners:

AND WHEREAS the Minister for Transport and Power is of opinion that that council should have representation in the membership of the said Commissioners:

NOW, I, BRIAN LENIHAN, Minister for Transport and Power, in exercise of the power conferred on me by Section 8 of the Harbours Act, 1946 (No. 9 of 1946), and the Transport, Fuel and Power (Transfer of Departmental Administration and Ministerial Functions) Order, 1959 (No. 125 of 1959), and after consultation with the Minister for Local Government, hereby order as follows:

1. This Order may be cited as the Drogheda Harbour Commissioners (Additional Local Authority Members) Order, 1970.

2. This Order shall have effect on and after the first occurrence after the making thereof of a day which is the 7th day of July in an election year.

3. The council of the county of Meath shall appoint two additional local authority members of the Drogheda Harbour Commissioners.
