SALTERSTOWN, COUNTY LOUTH TRAFFIC TEMPORARY RULES, 1970.

I, ALFRED I. FLOOD, a Deputy Commissioner of the Garda Síochána and being authorised under section 8 (2) of the Police Forces Amalgamation Act, 1925 (No. 7 of 1925), to exercise or perform all or any of the powers or duties of the Commissioner of the Garda Síochána during the temporary absence of the said Commissioner, and in exercise of the powers conferred by section 89 of the Road Traffic Act, 1961 (No. 24 of 1961) (as amended by section 6 of the Road Traffic Act, 1968 (No. 25 of 1968)) on the said Commissioner, and with the consent of the Minister for Local Government, hereby make the following temporary rules in respect of the area comprising the townland of Salterstown in the county of Louth:

1. These rules may be cited as the Salterstown, County Louth Traffic Temporary Rules, 1970.

2. These rules shall come into operation on the 10th day of August, 1970.

3. These rules shall apply to the area comprising the townland of Salterstown in the county of Louth.

4. Where a traffic sign specifies the course to be taken by traffic on a roadway or prohibits entry into a roadway by a particular direction, the requirements of that sign shall be complied with.

EXPLANATORY NOTE.

1. Rule 4 provides that the requirements of a traffic sign specifying the course to be taken by traffic or prohibiting traffic from going in a particular direction, will be complied with.
