KILLYBEGS PIER AND HARBOUR (AMENDMENT) ORDER, 1970.

I, NEIL T. BLANEY, Minister for Agriculture and Fisheries, in exercise of the powers conferred on me by section 4 of the Fishery Harbour Centres Act, 1968 (No. 18 of 1968), and after consultation with the Minister for Transport and Power and the requirements of subsection (7) (a) of that section having been complied with, hereby make the following order:

1. This Order may be cited as the Killybegs Pier and Harbour (Amendment) Order, 1970.

2. This Order shall come into operation on the 1st day of May, 1970.

3. The Killybegs Pier and Harbour Order, 1896, is hereby amended by—

(a) the insertion in Article 14 after "in every direction" of "and the area which, together with the area aforesaid, is the area declared to be a fishery harbour centre by the Fishery Harbour Centre (Killybegs) Order, 1969 ( S.I. No. 210 of 1969 ), and any other pier or jetty in the area of the fishery harbour centre",

(b) the substitution of "Minister" for "Commissioners" in each place where it occurs in Articles 27, 28, 29, 30, 31, 41,45 and 46,

(c) the substitution of "the harbour master appointed by the Minister" for "their harbour master", "the harbour master", "the collector of rates" and "the harbour master or collector of rates" in each place where any of those expressions occurs in Articles 41, 42, 43 and 44,

(d) the substitution of "the said harbour master" for "the collector" in Articles 43 and 44,

(e) the substitution of "piers, jetties" for "pier" in Article 27, and

(f) the substitution of "any pier or jetty within the limits of this Order" for "the pier" in each place where it occurs in the Schedule.

EXPLANATORY NOTE.

This Order extends the application of the Killybegs Pier and Harbour Order, 1896, including the rates specified in the Schedule to that Order, to the whole of the Killybegs Fishery Harbour Centre as declared and defined by the Fishery Harbour Centre (Killybegs) Order, 1969 ( S.I. No. 210 of 1969 ).
