S.I. No. 70/1970 - Returning Officers' Charges (Bye-Elections To Dáil Éireann) (Amendment) Order, 1970.


I, CHARLES J. HAUGHEY, Minister for Finance, in exercise of the powers conferred on me by section 25 (5) of the Electoral Act, 1923 (No. 12 of 1923), hereby order as follows:

1. These Regulations may be cited as the Returning Officers' Charges (Bye-Elections to Dáil Éireann) (Amendment) Order, 1970.

2. The Interpretation Act, 1937 (No. 38 of 1937), applies to this Order.

3. Paragraph 11 of the Schedule to the Returning Officers' Charges (Bye-Election to Dáil Éireann) Order, 1970 ( S.I. No. 27 of 1970 ), is hereby amended by the substitution for subparagraph (1) of the following:

"(1) For the first 30,000 electors .. .. ..

EXPLANATORY NOTE.

This order provides for increasing the amounts which may be disbursed by a returning officer for the counting of votes at a Dáil Bye-Election.
