INDUSTRIAL DEVELOPMENT ACT, 1969 (COMMENCEMENT) ORDER, 1970.

I, SEOIRSE Ó COLLA, Minister for Industry and Commerce, in exercise of the powers conferred on me by section 3 of the Industrial Development Act, 1969 (No. 32 of 1969), hereby order as follows:

1. This Order may be cited as the Industrial Development Act, 1969 (Commencement) Order, 1970.

2. The 4th day of February, 1970, is hereby fixed as the day on which section 17 of the Industrial Development Act, 1969 (No. 32 of 1969), shall come into operation.

3. The 4th day of February, 1970, is hereby fixed as the day on which section 4 and the Third Schedule of the Industrial Development Act, 1969 shall come into operation for the purpose only of repealing section I of the Industrial Grants (Amendment) Act, 1969 (No. 8 of 1969).

EXPLANATORY NOTE

This instrument increases to £100 million the overall limit on expenditures as authorised by law by the Industrial Development Authority, An Foras Tionscal or the Minister for Industry and Commerce on grants, guarantees, the cost of industrial estates and other matters incidental to industrial development.
