SOCIAL WELFARE (OLD AGE (CONTRIBUTORY) PENSION) (AMENDMENT) REGULATIONS, 1969.

The Minister for Social Welfare in exercise of the powers conferred on him by section 3 of the Social Welfare Act, 1952 (No. 11 of 1952) and section 28A of the said Act (inserted therein by section 10 of the Social Welfare (Amendment) Act, 1960 (No. 25 of 1960)), hereby makes the following Regulations :—

1. (1) These Regulations may be cited as the Social Welfare (Old Age (Contributory) Pension) (Amendment) Regulations, 1969.

(2) The Social Welfare (Old Age (Contributory) Pension) Regulations, 1960 to 1968 and these Regulations may be cited collectively as the Social Welfare (Old Age (Contributory) Pension) Regulations, 1960 to 1969.

2. These Regulations shall come into operation on the 2nd day of January, 1970.

3. The following Schedule shall be substituted for the Schedule to the Social Welfare (Old Age (Contributory) Pension) Regulations, 1960 ( S.I. No. 274 of 1960 ) as inserted by article 3 of the Social Welfare (Old Age (Contributory) Pension) (Amendment) Regulations, 1968 ( S.I. No. 233 of 1968 ).

SCHEDULE

Reduced rates of old age (contributory) pensions where contribution conditions are partially satisfied.

Average number of contributions paid or credited per contribution year in the relevant period.	Reduced weekly rate at which pension is payable.

EXPLANATORY NOTE

These Regulations amend the Social Welfare (Old Age (Contributory) Pension) Regulations 1960 to 1968, which provide where the contribution conditions are partially satisfied, for the purpose of increasing these reduced rates to 69/6d, 66/6d, 63/6d and 60/6d respectively as from 2nd January, 1970.
