SOLICITORS ACT, 1954 (FEES) REGULATIONS, 1968.

By virtue in pursuance of Sections 4, 5, 79, and 82 of the Solicitors Act, 1954 , and of every other power in that behalf the Incorporated Law Society of Ireland hereby make the following Regulations:—

1. From and after the date of operation of these Regulations the fees specified in the Schedule hereto shall be paid to the Society by the applicant in respect of the matters therein mentioned.

2. These Regulations shall come into operation on 31st day of December, 1968.

3. The Solicitors Act 1954 (Fees) Regulations 1954 S.I. No. 229 of 1954 shall be revoked as from the date of the operation of these Regulations.

4. These Regulations may be cited as the Solicitors Act, 1954 (Fees) Regulations 1968.

SCHEDULE

1.

On application for a practising certificate by a solicitor who practises or carries on his business in the City of Dublin or within three miles therefrom

EXPLANATORY NOTE.

The fee paid by a solicitor on taking out a practising certificate is raised from £6 to £11 in the case of a solicitor practising in Dublin and from £3 to £8 in the case of a solicitor practising elsewhere.
