LOCAL GOVERNMENT (PLANNING AND DEVELOPMENT) ACT, 1963, (LICENSING) (AMENDMENT) REGULATIONS, 1968.

The Minister for Local Government in exercise of the powers conferred on him by sections 10 and 89 of the Local Government (Planning and Development) Act, 1963 , (No. 28 of 1963) hereby makes the following regulations:—

1. These Regulations may be cited as the Local Government (Planning and Development) Act, 1963 , (Licensing) (Amendment) Regulations, 1968.

2. The Local Government (Planning and Development) Act, 1963 , (Licensing) Regulations, 1965 ( S.I. No. 76 of 1965 ) shall be amended as follows:—

(a) by the insertion in paragraph (i) of Part II of the Schedule thereto under the heading "Appliance or structure" of "cable for conducting electricity for domestic or agricultural purposes or a" before "drain".

(b) by the insertion in Part III of the said Schedule under the heading "Appliance or structure" of "(d) A cable for conducting electricity for domestic or agricultural purposes" and opposite the said paragraph (d) in the said Schedule under the heading "Licence Fee" of "£2".

EXPLANATORY NOTE.

These Regulations amend the Local Government (Planning and Development) Act, 1963 , (Licensing) Regulations, 1965, so as to permit a cable for conducting electricity for domestic or agricultural purposes to be carried across or under a public road subject to obtaining a licence from the planning authority and paying a non-recurring fee of £2.
