REGISTRATION COUNCIL (CONSTITUTION AND PROCEDURE) (AMENDMENT) RULES, 1968.

I, BRIAN LENIHAN, Minister for Education, in exercise of the powers conferred on me by sections 1 and 3 of the Intermediate Education (Ireland) Act, 1914, as adapted, hereby make the following rules:

1. (1) These Rules may be cited as the Registration Council (Constitution and Procedure) (Amendment) Rules, 1968.

(2) The Registration Council (Constitution and Procedure) (Amendment) Rules, 1926 to 1962, and these Rules shall be construed together and may be cited together as the Registration Council (Constitution and Procedure) Rules, 1926 to 1968.

(3) These Rules shall come into operation on the 1st day of June, 1968.

2. (1) In these Rules "the Principal Rules" means the Registration Council (Constitution and Procedure) Rules, 1926, (S.R. & O., No. 17 of 1926).

(2) The Interpretation Act, 1937 , (No. 38 of 1937) applies to these Rules.

3. (1) The Principal Rules are hereby amended by the substitution in Part 1 of the Schedule of "The Education Committee of the Teaching Brothers' Association" for "The Education Committee of the Christian Brothers".

(2) Accordingly the person who, immediately before the commencement of these Rules, was the member of the Council appointed by The Education Committee of the Christian Brothers shall, on such commencement, cease to be a member of the Council.
