RETURNING OFFICERS' (BOROUGH AND COUNTY CONSTITUENCIES) BYE-ELECTION CHARGES (AMENDMENT) ORDER, 1968.

I, CHARLES J. HAUGHEY, Minister for Finance, in exercise of the powers conferred on me by section 64 (2) of the Electoral Act, 1923 (No. 12 of 1923), hereby order as follows:

1. (1) This Order may be cited as the Returning Officers' (Borough and County Constituencies) Bye-Election Charges (Amendment) Order, 1968.

(2) The Returning Officers' (Borough and County Constituencies) Bye-Election Charges Order, 1966 ( S.I. No. 262 of 1966 ), and this Order may be cited together as the Returning Officers' (Borough and County Constituencies) Bye-Election Charges Orders, 1966 and 1968.

2. The Interpretation Act, 1937 (No. 38 of 1937), applies to this Order.

3. The Schedule to the Returning Officers' (Borough and County Constituencies) Bye-Election Charges Order, 1966, is hereby amended by the substitution for paragraph 2 (iv) of the following:

"(iv) Counting the Votes:

Where the number of electors

does not exceed 30,000 ... ...

EXPLANATORY NOTE.
