IMPOSITION OF DUTIES (IRON AND STEEL PRODUCTS) ORDER, 1967.

I, CHARLES J. HAUGHEY, Minister for Finance, in exercise of the powers conferred on me by section 3 of the Imposition of Duties Act, 1957 (No. 7 of 1957), hereby, with the consent of the Minister for Industry and Commerce, order as follows:

1. This Order may be cited as the Imposition of Duties (Iron and Steel Products) Order, 1967.

2. This Order shall come into operation on the 1st day of July, 1967, and shall cease to have effect on the 1st day of January, 1968.

3. The duties of customs imposed by paragraph 5 of and mentioned in the Schedule to the Imposition of Duties (No. 159) (Customs Duties and Form of Customs Tariff) Order, 1966 ( S.I. No. 132 of 1966 ), at tariff heading numbers 73.10 (A) (1) (b), 73.10 (A) (2) (b), 73.10 (A) (3) (a) (ii), 73.11 (B) (2) (b), 73.11 (B) (3) (a) (ii), 73.11 (B) (4) (a) (ii) and 73.13 (B) (1) (b) shall not be charged or levied.

EXPLANATORY NOTE.

This Order suspends the operation of the duties on certain bars, rods, angles, shapes, sections, sheets and plates, of iron or steel, during the six months ending 31st December, 1967.
