POSTS AND TELEGRAPHS (DELEGATION OF MINISTERIAL FUNCTIONS) ORDER, 1967.

The Government, at the request of the Minister for Posts and Telegraphs and in exercise of the powers conferred on them by section 9 (1) of the Ministers and Secretaries (Amendment) Act, 1939 (No. 36 of 1939), hereby order as follows—

1. This Order may be cited as the Posts and Telegraphs (Delegation of Ministerial Functions) Order, 1967.

2. The statutory powers and duties of the Minister for Posts and Telegraphs specified in the Schedule to this Order are hereby delegated to Patrick Joseph Lalor, Parliamentary Secretary to the Minister for Posts and Telegraphs.

SCHEDULE.

The powers and duties of the Minister for Posts and Telegraphs under each of the following Acts:—

(a) Post Office Acts, 1908 to 1951.

(b) Wireless Telegraphy Acts, 1926 and 1956.

(c) Post Office (Parcels) Act, 1882.

(d) Post Office Savings Bank Acts, 1861 to 1958.

(e) Civil Service Regulation Acts, 1956 and 1958.

(f) Civil Service Commissioners Act, 1956 .

(g) Finance Act, 1942 .

(h) Ministers and Secretaries Acts, 1924 to 1966.

EXPLANATORY NOTE.

This Order delegates to the Parliamentary Secretary to the Minister for Posts and Telegraphs the specified powers and duties of the Minister for Posts and Telegraphs.
