UNEMPLOYMENT ASSISTANCE (EMPLOYMENT PERIOD) (REVOCATION) ORDER, 1967.

I, JOSEPH BRENNAN, Minister for Social Welfare, in exercise of the powers conferred on me by the joint operation of sections 4 (3) and 7 (1) of the Unemployment Assistance Act, 1933 (No. 46 of 1933), and the Social Welfare (Transfer of Departmental Administration and Ministerial Functions) (No. 1) Order, 1947 ( S. R. & O. No. 18 of 1947 ), hereby order as follows:—

1. This Order may be cited as the Unemployment Assistance (Employment Period) (Revocation) Order, 1967.

2. This Order shall come into operation on the 19th day of April, 1967.

3. The Interpretation Act, 1937 (No. 38 of 1937), applies to this Order.

4. The Unemployment Assistance (Employment Period) Order, 1967 (No. 57 of 1967), is hereby revoked.

EXPLANATORY NOTE.

This Order revokes, with effect from the 19th April, 1967, the Unemployment Assistance (Employment Period) Order, 1967 ( S.I. No. 57 of 1967 ), under which persons resident outside county or other boroughs, urban districts or towns who are occupiers of land the valuation of which exceeds £4 were excluded from unemployment assistance during the period from the 29th March, 1967. to the 31st October, 1967.
