TOTALISATOR (AMENDMENT) REGULATIONS, 1967.

I, CHARLES J. HAUGHEY, Minister for Finance, in exercise of the powers conferred on me by section 6 (1) of the Totalisator Act, 1929 (No. 22 of 1929), hereby make the following regulations:

1. (1) These Regulations may be cited as the Totalisator (Amendment) Regulations, 1967.

(2) These Regulations shall come into operation on the 25th day of March, 1967.

2. The Interpretation Act, 1937 (No. 38 of 1937), applies to these Regulations.

3. Regulation 13 of the Totalisator Regulations, 1930, is hereby amended—

(i) by the substitution in paragraph (a) of " have been withdrawn before a fair start has been effected " for " did not come under the starter's orders ",

(ii) by the substitution in paragraph (b) of " has not been withdrawn before a fair start has been effected " for " came under the starter's orders ", and

(iii) by the substitution in paragraph (c) of " has been withdrawn before a fair start has been effected " for " did not come under the starter's orders ".

EXPLANATORY NOTE

These Regulations amend the existing Totalisator Regulations to comply with the new definition of " Started " in Rule 1 of the Rules for Racing which comes into force on 25th March, 1967.
