SOCIAL WELFARE (OCCUPATIONAL INJURIES) ACT, 1966 (APPOINTED DAY) ORDER, 1967.

I, JOSEPH BRENNAN, Minister for Social Welfare, in exercise of the powers conferred on me by subsection (4) of section 1 of the Social Welfare (Occupational Injuries) Act, 1966 (No. 16 of 1966), hereby order as follows:—

1. This Order may be cited as the Social Welfare (Occupational Injuries) Act, 1966 (Appointed Day) Order, 1967.

2. The 1st day of May, 1967, shall be the appointed day for the purposes of the Social Welfare (Occupational Injuries) Act, 1966 .

EXPLANATORY NOTE.

This Order brings into operation on 1st May, 1967 the provisions of the Social Welfare (Occupational Injuries) Act, 1966 , which extends the present Social Insurance Scheme to provide for occupational injuries and diseases.
