MAXIMUM PRICES (INTOXICATING LIQUOR AND NON-ALCOHOLIC BEVERAGES) ORDER, 1966.

I, PÁDRAIG Ó hIRIGHILE, Minister for Industry and Commerce in exercise of the powers conferred on me by section 20 of the Prices Act, 1958 (No. 4 of 1958), hereby order as follows :

1. This Order may be cited as the Maximum Prices (Intoxicating Liquor and Non-alcoholic Beverages) Order, 1966.

2. This Order shall come into operation on the 14th day of June, 1966.

3. The Maximum Prices (Intoxicating Liquor and Non-Alcoholic Beverages) Order, 1965 ( S.I. No. 233 of 1965 ), shall, as respects beer of the kind mentioned in column (1) of the Schedule to this Order at any reference number, have effect as if the maximum price provided for by that Order for the sale of that beer by retail in any manner specified in column (2) of the said Schedule at that reference number were increased by the amount specified in the said column (2) at that reference number in relation to a sale in that manner.

EXPLANATORY NOTE.

This Order amends the Maximum Prices (Intoxicating Liquor and Non-alcoholic Beverages) Order, 1965 to provide for an increase of 1d. per pint and ½d. per half pint in the retail prices of certain beer.
