DUNDALK PILOTAGE ORDER, 1920 (AMENDMENT) ORDER, 1966.

WHEREAS the Dundalk Pilotage Authority has applied in writing to the Minister for Transport and Power for the making of a pilotage order in relation to the Dundalk Pilotage District :

NOW I, ERSKINE H. CHILDERS, Minister for Transport and Power, in exercise of the powers conferred on me by section 7 of the Pilotage Act, 1913, and the Transport, Fuel and Power (Transfer of Departmental Administration and Ministerial Functions) Order, 1959 ( S.I. No. 125 of 1959 ), hereby order as follows :

1. This Order may be cited as the Dundalk Pilotage Order, 1920 (Amendment) Order, 1966.

2. This Order shall come into operation on the 30th day of May, 1966.

3. The Interpretation Act, 1937 (No. 38 of 1937) applies to this Order.

4. In this Order "the Principal Order" means the Dundalk Pilotage Order, 1920, being the Order contained in the Schedule to the Pilotage Orders Confirmation (No. 2) Act, 1920.

5. The Principal Order and this Order shall be construed together as one Order.

6. The Schedule to the Pilotage Orders Confirmation (No. 2) Act, 1920, is hereby amended by the substitution of the following Article for Article 1 of the Principal Order namely :

"1. The limits of the Dundalk Pilotage District (hereinafter referred to as 'the Pilotage District') shall be the waters of the harbour and bay of Dundalk between the bridge of Dundalk and an imaginary straight line drawn from Gyles Quay to a position 270° (True) distant two miles from Dunany Point".

EXPLANATORY NOTE.

This Order alters the seaward limits of the Dundalk Pilotage District.
