SHEEP DIPPING ORDER, 1965 (AMENDMENT) ORDER, 1966.

I, CHARLES J. HAUGHEY, Minister for Agriculture and Fisheries, do hereby in exercise of the powers conferred on me by section 22 of the Diseases of Animals Act, 1894, as amended by section 1 of the Diseases of Animals Act, 1903, and section 4 of the Agriculture Act, 1931 (No. 8 of 1931), as adapted by the Agriculture (Alteration of Name of Department and Title of Minister) Order, 1965 ( S.I. No. 146 of 1965 ), order as follows:

1.—(1) This Order may be cited as the Sheep Dipping Order, 1965 (Amendment) Order, 1966.

(2) This Order shall come into operation on the first day of June, 1966.

2. The Interpretation Act, 1937 (No. 38 of 1937), applies to this Order.

3. Article 3 of the Sheep Dipping Order, 1965 ( S.I. No. 105 of 1965 ), shall be amended as follows:

(a) in the definition of "first dipping period." "first day of June" is hereby substituted for "first day of July"; and

(b) in the definition of "second dipping period." "fifteenth day of September" is hereby substituted for "first day of October".

EXPLANATORY NOTE.

The effect of this Order is to change the commencing dates of the dipping periods as prescribed by the Sheep Dipping Order, 1965, from 1st July to 1st June in the case of the first dipping period and from the 1st October to 15th September in the case of the second dipping period.
