Death benefit—orphans qualified for purposes of this Act.

21.—(1) Death benefit shall be payable in respect of an orphan qualified for the purposes of this Act who is a child or step-child of the deceased, and in respect of an orphan so qualified who was wholly or mainly maintained by the deceased at the date of his death.

(2) In the case of an orphan, death benefit shall be a pension at the weekly rate of forty-seven shillings and sixpence.

(3) Section 24 of the Principal Act shall apply to a pension under this section as it applies to an orphan's (contributory) allowance.
