WORKMEN'S COMPENSATION ACT, 1934 (CERTIFYING SURGEONS AND MEDICAL REFEREES) ORDER, 1934 (AMENDMENT) ORDER, 1965.

I, CAOIMHGHÍN Ó BEOLÁIN, Minister for Social Welfare, in exercise of the powers conferred on me by subsection (4) of section 77 of the Workmen's Compensation Act, 1934 (No. 9 of 1934), and the Workmen's Compensation Act, 1934 (Transfer of Ministerial Functions) Order, 1947 ( S.R. & O. No. 161 of 1947 ), hereby, with the consent of the Minister for Finance, order as follows :—

1.— (1) This Order may be cited as the Workmen's Compensation Act, 1934 (Certifying Surgeons and Medical Referees) Order, 1934 (Amendment) Order, 1965.

(2) This Order shall come into operation on the 1st day of January, 1966.

2. The Interpretation Act, 1937 (No. 38 of 1937), applies to this Order.

3. Regulation 9 of the Workmen's Compensation Act, 1934 (Certifying Surgeons and Medical Referees) Order, 1934 (S.R. & O., No. 188 of 1934), inserted by the Workmen's Compensation Act, 1934 (Certifying Surgeons and Medical Referees) Order, 1934 (Amendment) Order, 1950 ( S.I. No. 13 of 1950 ), shall be amended as follows :—

(a) "3s. 4d." is hereby substituted for "2s." in each place where that amount occurs ;

(b) "5s." is hereby substituted for "3s." in both places where that amount occurs ; and

(c) "8s. 4d.", "1s. 6d." and "12s. 6d." are hereby substituted for "5s.", "1s." and "7s. 6d." respectively.

EXPLANATORY NOTE.

This Order increases with effect from 1st January, 1966, the fees which certifying doctors are entitled to charge in respect of duties performed under Part X of the Workmen's Compensation Act, 1934 .
