LOCAL GOVERNMENT (SANITARY SERVICES) ACT, 1948 (SECTION 34) (PART OF COUNTY OF DONEGAL) ORDER, 1965.

The Minister for Local Government in exercise of the powers conferred on him by sub-section (2) of section 34 of the Local Government (Sanitary Services) Act, 1948 (No. 3 of 1948) hereby orders as follows :—

1. This Order may be cited as the Local Government (Sanitary Services) Act, 1948 (Section 34) (Part of County of Donegal) Order, 1965.

2. On the seventh day after the date of this Order section 34 of the Local Government (Sanitary Services) Act, 1948 shall come into operation in that part of the sanitary district of the County Health District of Donegal consisting of the townlands of Darney, Bruckless, Killaghtee, Rahan Near, Rahan Far, Menamny, Ballyederlan, Ballysaggart, Ballycroy, Cavan, Ballybodonnell and Ballymagowan in the district electoral division of Dunkineely, the townlands of Brenter, Kilmacreddan, Port, Fanaghans and Inver Glebe in the district electoral division of Inver, the townland of Ballyloughan in the district electoral division of Killybegs, the townlands of Salthill Demesne and Hall Demesne in the district electoral division of Tantallon and the townland of Drumbeg in the district electoral division of Bonyglen.

EXPLANATORY MEMORANDUM

The effect of this Order is to bring section 34 of the Local Government (Sanitary Services) Act, 1948 , into operation in that part of the County of Donegal consisting of the townlands named in the Order. Section 34 of that Act authorises a sanitary authority to grant to the occupier of land within that part of their sanitary district in which that section is in operation, or with the consent of such occupier to a camping organisation, a licence authorising the use during a specified period of twelve consecutive months of such land for camping.
