DAIRY PRODUCE MARKETING ACT, 1961 (NOMINATION DAY) REGULATIONS, 1965.

WHEREAS the year in which the establishment day for the purposes of the Dairy Produce Marketing Act, 1961 (No. 1 of 1961), fell and each fourth successive year thereafter were declared by section 7 of that Act to be nomination years for the purposes of that Act;

AND WHEREAS the establishment day for the purposes of that Act fell in the year 1961;

AND WHEREAS the Minister for Agriculture is empowered by section 7 of that Act to prescribe by regulations a day in each nomination year to be, for the purposes of that Act, a nomination day in that nomination year;

NOW, I, CHARLES J. HAUGHEY, Minister for Agriculture, in exercise of the powers conferred on me by section 7 of the Dairy Produce Marketing Act, 1961 (No. 1 of 1961), hereby make the following regulations;

1. These Regulations may be cited as the Dairy Produce Marketing Act, 1961 (Nomination Day) Regulations, 1965.

2. The 7th day of September, 1965 is hereby prescribed as the nomination day for the purposes of the Dairy Produce Marketing Act, 1961 (No. 1 of 1961), in the year 1965.

EXPLANATORY NOTE.

The effect of these Regulations is that during the period from 7th August, 1965 to the 6th September, 1965, persons may be nominated or proposed for nomination as members of An Bord Bainne.
