ANIMAL REMEDIES (CONTROL OF CERTAIN ANTI-ABORTION VACCINES) REGULATIONS, 1965

I, CHARLES J. HAUGHEY, Minister for Agriculture, in exercise of the powers conferred on me by section 7 of the Animal Remedies Act, 1956 (No. 41 of 1956), and after consultation with the Animal Remedies Consultative Committee and the Minister for Health, hereby make the following regulations:—

1.—(1) These Regulations may be cited as the Animal Remedies (Control of Certain Anti-Abortion Vaccines) Regulations, 1965.

(2) These Regulations shall come into operation on the 17th day of May, 1965.

2. In these Regulations, "animal remedy to which these Regulations apply" means any anti-abortion vaccine intended for use in the vaccination of a bovine animal against brucellosis.

3. The sale of the animal remedy to which these Regulations apply is hereby prohibited save under licence of the Minister.

EXPLANATORY NOTE.

These Regulations prohibit the sale of any anti-abortion vaccine for use in the vaccination of cattle against brucellosis, except under licence of the Minister.
