TURNOVER TAX (EXEMPTED ACTIVITIES) (No. 12) ORDER, 1964.

I, SÉAMAS Ó RIAIN, Minister for Finance, in exercise of the powers conferred on me by paragraph (b) of subsection (2) of section 48 of the Finance Act, 1963 (No. 23 of 1963), hereby order as follows :—

1. This Order may be cited as the Turnover Tax (Exempted Activities) (No. 12) Order, 1964.

2. the Activity specified in the Schedule to this Order is hereby declared to be, for the purposes of subsection (2) of section 48 of the Finance Act, 1963 , exempted.

SCHEDULE.

Any activity which took place before the 1st day of August, 1963.

EXPLANATORY NOTE.

Under the Finance Act, 1963 , Section 53, sub-section 3 (b), remission of Turnover Tax was granted in respect of goods sold or hired or services provided before 1st August, 1963, provided that the moneys arising from the activities were received before the 31st March, 1964.

The effect of this Order is to extend indefinitely the period for remission. Henceforward all moneys arising from any activity which took place before 1st August, 1963, will be exempt, no matter when the moneys are received.
