Army Pensions (Increase) Act, 1964

Amendment of Second Schedule to the No. 2 Act of 1960.

35.—(1) The Second Schedule (which specifies allowances to dependants of certain deceased members of the forces) to the No. 2 Act of 1960 is hereby amended in the following respects—

(a) in Part I, “£148”, “£217”, “£270”, “£44 10s.” and “£82 10s.” shall be substituted for “£141”, “£206 10s.”, “£257 10s.”, “£42 10s.” and “£78 10s.” (inserted by subsection (1) of section 28 of the Increase Act of 1962) respectively and “£270” shall be substituted for “£188”,

(b) in Part II, “£1 11s.”, “11s. 6d.” and “£1 3s.” shall be substituted for “£1 9s. 6d.”, “11s. 0d.” and “£1 2s.” (inserted by subsection (1) of section 28 of the Increase Act of 1962) respectively and “£123 10s.” shall be substituted for “£86”.

(2) The reference in subsection (2) of section 6 of the No. 2 Act of 1960 to paragraphs 1 and 3 of Part I and paragraphs 1 and 3 of Part II of the Second Schedule to the No. 2 Act of 1960 shall be deemed to be a reference to paragraphs 1 and 3 of Part I and paragraphs 1 and 3 of Part II of the Second Schedule to the No. 2 Act of 1960 as amended by subsection (1) of this section.

(3) In paragraph 6 of Part III of the Second Schedule to the No. 2 Act of 1960 “£129” shall be substituted for “£123” (inserted by subsection (3) of section 28 of the Increase Act of 1962) and “£258 10s.” shall be substituted for “£180”.

(4) In paragraph 6 of Part IV of the Second Schedule to the No. 2 Act of 1960 “£64” shall be substituted for “£61” (inserted by subsection (4) of section 28 of the Increase Act of 1962) and “£258 10s.” shall be substituted for “£180”.
