JURIES FOR CIRCUIT COURT (CRIMINAL ISSUES) (COUNTY KILDARE) ORDER, 1963.

WHEREAS it is enacted by subsection (2) of section 4 of the Juries Act, 1961 (No. 11 of 1961), that, where there are two or more jury districts in a county, the Minister for Justice may by order from time to time, as and when he shall think fit, specify a jury district or jury districts in the county for the purposes of subsection (1) of that section;

AND WHEREAS by virtue of the Jury Districts (County Kildare) Order, 1963, there are two jury districts in the county of Kildare;

NOW, I, CHARLES J. HAUGHEY, Minister for Justice, in exercise of the power conferred on me by subsection (2) of section 4 of the Juries Act, 1961 (No. 11 of 1961), hereby order as follows:

1. This Order may be cited as the Juries for Circuit Court (Criminal Issues) (County Kildare) Order, 1963.

2. This Order shall come into operation on the commencement of the Jury Districts (County Kildare) Order, 1963.

3. Every criminal issue which is triable with a jury by a judge of the Circuit Court sitting in the county of Kildare shall be triable with a jury called from a panel of jurors drawn from—

(a) in case such judge is sitting in the town of Naas, Jury District No. 1 (Naas),

(b) in case such judge is sitting in the town of Athy, Jury District No. 2 (Athy).

EXPLANATORY NOTE.

This Order specifies each of the Jury Districts of County Kildare from which jurors are liable to be called for service at Courts sitting in Naas and Athy, respectively.
