CIRCUIT COURT RULES, 1961

We, the Circuit Court Rules Committee, constituted pursuant to the provisions of Section 69 of the Courts of Justice Act, 1936 , by virtue of the powers conferred upon us by Section 66 of the Courts of Justice Act, 1924 , and Section 70 of the Courts of Justice Act, 1936 , and of all the other powers enabling us in this behalf, do hereby, with the concurrence of the Minister for Justice, make the annexed Rules of Court.

CIRCUIT COURT RULES, 1961

These Rules which may be cited as the " Circuit Court Rules, 1961 ", shall come into operation on the 24th day of July, 1961. The Order referred to in these Rules as being amended is that contained in the Circuit Court Rules, 1950.

Order 3.

Rule 2 of this Order shall be revoked and the following Rule is substituted therefor:—

2. A Judge shall be addressed in Court by his title, and may be referred to in Irish as " An Ch£irt " or in English as " The Court ".

EXPLANATORY NOTE

These rules prescribe a revised mode of address of judges of the Circuit Court.
