REGISTRATION EXPENSES (ALTERATION) SCALE, 1961.

I, SÉAMAS Ó RIAIN, Minister for Finance, in exercise of the powers conferred on me by subsection (3) of section 12 of the Electoral Act, 1923 (No. 12 of 1923), hereby frame the following scale of registration expenses :

1.—(1) This Scale may be cited as the Registration Expenses (Alteration) Scale, 1961.

(2) The Registration Expenses Scale, 1952 ( S.I. No. 19 of 1952 ), and this Scale may be cited together as the Registration Expenses Scales, 1952 and 1961.

2. The Registration Expenses Scale, 1952, shall have effect as if in paragraph (1) of Article 4—

(a) a reference to 3s. 0d. were substituted for the second reference to 2s. 4d., and

(b) a reference to 3s. 6d. were substituted for the reference to 2s. 9d.

EXPLANATORY NOTE.

This Order amends the Registration Expenses Scale, 1952 ( S.I. No. 19 of 1952 ) by increasing the higher rates of 2/4d. and 2/9d. payable under Article 4 of the latter Order to 3/-and 3/6d. respectively.
