STATE GUARANTEES ACT, 1954 (AMENDMENT OF SCHEDULE) ORDER, 1961.

The Government, in exercise of the powers conferred on them by section 9 of the State Guarantees Act, 1954 (No. 9 of 1954), hereby make the following order with respect to which, pursuant to that section, a draft has been laid before each House of the Oireachtas and a resolution approving of the draft has been passed by each such House :

1. (1) This Order may be cited as the State Guarantees Act, 1954 (Amendment of Schedule) Order, 1961.

(2) The State Guarantees Act, 1954 (Amendment of Schedule) Orders, 1957 to 1959, and this Order may be cited together as the State Guarantees Act, 1954 (Amendment of Schedule) Orders, 1957 to 1961.

2. The Schedule to the State Guarantees Act, 1954 (No. 9 of 1954), is hereby amended by adding " National Building Agency Limited " to the bodies specified in the second column and inserting in the third column " £250,000 " in respect of that body.

EXPLANATORY NOTE.

This Order enables the Minister for Finance, pursuant to the State Guarantees Act, 1954 , to guarantee borrowings by the National Building Agency Limited up to a maximum of £250,000 at any time.
