S.I. No. 26/1961 - Dáil Éireann (Sligo-Leitrim) Bye-Election Order, 1961.

The Minister for Local Government, in exercise of the powers conferred on him by paragraph (b) of subsection (1) of section 18 of the Electoral Act, 1923 (No. 12 of 1923) as substituted by section 7 of the Electoral Act, 1960 (No. 43 of 1960) hereby orders as follows :—

1. This Order may be cited as the Dáil Éireann (Sligo-Leitrim) Bye-election Order, 1961.

2. The poll at the election to return a member to fill the vacancy in Dáil Éireann occasioned by the death of Stephen Flynn, a member for the county constituency of Sligo-Leitrim, shall be taken on the 1st day of March, 1961.

EXPLANATORY NOTE.

This Order fixes the polling day for the bye-election in the Sligo-Leitrim constituency to elect a member to fill the vacancy in Dáil Éireann occasioned by the death of Stephen Flynn.
