Marking of fresh eggs.

2.—(1) Whenever and so long as fresh eggs consigned otherwise than for export are excluded from the application of regulations made under subsection (2) of section 38 of the Principal Act—

(a) the conditions as respects the marking of eggs contained in paragraphs (b) and (c) of subsection (1) of section 31 of the Principal Act, and

(b) the provision as respects the marking of eggs contained in subsection (7) of the said section 38,

shall not apply in relation to fresh eggs consigned otherwise than for export.

(2) The Minister, if he so thinks proper, may from time to time make regulations under subsection (2) of section 38 of the Principal Act, excluding fresh eggs consigned otherwise than for export from the application of regulations made under that subsection, whether before or after the commencement of this Act.

(3) In this section “fresh eggs” has the meaning assigned to it by section 42 of the Principal Act.
