BOVINE TUBERCULOSIS (PLACES AND TIMES FOR MOVEMENT INTO COUNTY DONEGAL) ORDER, 1960.

I, PATRICK SMITH, Minister for Agriculture, it appearing to me to be necessary for the purpose of the progressive eradication of bovine tuberculosis, do hereby, in exercise of the powers conferred on me by section 22 of the Diseases of Animals Act, 1894, and section 2 of the Diseases of Animals (Bovine Tuberculosis) Act, 1957 (No. 14 of 1957), order as follows:

1 Short title and commencement

1. (1) This Order may be cited as the Bovine Tuberculosis (Places and Times for Movement into County Donegal) Order, 1960.

(2) This Order shall come into operation on the 5th day of September, 1960.

2 Places and times for movement into County Donegal

2. Cattle shall not be moved into the administrative county of Donegal except—

(a) at Bridgend frontier post—on any Monday, Tuesday, Thursday or Friday, between the hours of 1 p.m. and 3 p.m., or on any Wednesday, between the hours of 1 p.m. and 5 p.m.,

(b) at Lifford frontier post—on any Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday or Saturday, between the hours of 10 a.m. and 12 noon, or on any Thursday, between the hours of 1 p.m. and 5 p.m.,

(c) at Pettigo frontier post—on any week-day between the hours of 2 p.m. and 5 p.m., or

(d) at the bridge over the river Erne at Ballyshannon—on any week-day, between the hours of 9 a.m. and 6 p.m. or, in the case of a day on which a fair for the sale of cattle is held at Ballyshannon, 5 a.m. and 6 p.m.

3. The requirements of this Order are in addition to, and not in substitution for, requirements of the Bovine Tuberculosis (Clearance Area) (Special Controls) Order, 1960.

EXPLANATORY NOTE.

This Order prohibits entry of cattle into County Donegal except through the entry points on the days and during the hours specified.
