HARBOUR RATES (ARKLOW HARBOUR) (AMENDMENT) ORDER, 1960.

I, ERSKINE H. CHILDERS, Minister for Transport and Power, in exercise of the powers conferred on me by section 104 of the Harbours Act, 1946 (No. 9 of 1946), and the Transport, Fuel and Power (Transfer of Departmental Administration and Ministerial Functions) Order, 1959 ( S.I. No. 125 of 1959 ), and after due compliance with section 106 of the said Act, hereby order as follows :

1.—(1) This Order may be cited as the Harbour Rates (Arklow Harbour) (Amendment) Order, 1960.

(2) This Order shall come into operation on the 19th day of April, 1960.

2.—(1) The Harbour Rates (Arklow Harbour) Order, 1947 ( S. R. & O. No. 266 of 1947 ), shall have effect as if the rates set out in the First Schedule, the Second Schedule and at reference number 3 in the Third Schedule thereto were increased by thirty-three and one-third per cent.

(2) The Harbour Rates (Arklow Harbour) Order, 1947, is hereby amended by the deletion in the First Schedule of the following:

"Fish Fresh Herrings from Fishing Vessels	per ton	1	8
	per mease		2
Fish Fresh other than herrings 2d. per box or	per ton	4	0"

EXPLANATORY NOTE.

The effect of this Order is to increase by one-third the maximum harbour rates chargeable by the Arklow Harbour Commissioners.
