PENSIONS (AMENDMENT) ACT, 1960.

AN ACT TO INCREASE, WITH EFFECT FROM THE 1ST DAY OF AUGUST, 1959, THE PENSIONS PAYABLE UNDER SECTION 2 AND SECTION 3 OF THE PENSIONS ACT, 1952 . [9th March, 1960.]

BE IT ENACTED BY THE OIREACHTAS AS FOLLOWS:—

Increase of pensions.

1.—The annual pensions payable under section 2 and section 3 of the Pensions Act, 1952 , shall, with effect from the 1st day of August, 1959, be increased from five hundred pounds to five hundred and sixty-one pounds and sixteen shillings.

Short title and collective citation.

2.—(1) This Act may be cited as the Pensions (Amendment) Act, 1960.

(2) The Pensions Act, 1952 , and this Act may be cited together as the Pensions Acts, 1952 and 1960.
