COMMITTEES OF AGRICULTURE (OFFICERS' TRAVELLING EXPENSES AND MAINTENANCE ALLOWANCE AND EXPENSES) REGULATIONS, 1956 (AMENDMENT) REGULATIONS, 1959.

I, PATRICK SMITH, Minister for Agriculture, in exercise of the powers conferred on me by section 28 of the Agriculture Act, 1931 (No. 8 of 1931), hereby make the following regulations :

1. (1) These Regulations may be cited as the Committees of Agriculture (Officers' Travelling Expenses and Maintenance Allowance and Expenses) Regulations, 1956 (Amendment) Regulations, 1959.

(2) These Regulations shall come into operation on the 1st day of January, 1960.

(3) The Committees of Agriculture (Officers' Travelling Expenses and Maintenance Allowance and Expenses) Regulations, 1956 to 1958, and these Regulations may be cited together as the Committees of Agriculture (Officers' Travelling Expenses and Maintenance Allowance and Expenses) Regulations, 1956 to 1959.

2. The Interpretation Act, 1937 (No. 38 of 1937), applies to these Regulations.

3. Part III of the Schedule to the Committees of Agriculture (Officers' Travelling Expenses and Maintenance Allowance and Expenses) Regulations, 1956 ( S.I. No. 70 of 1956 ), is hereby amended by—

(i) the insertion after " Instructors in Agriculture " in clause (a) of subparagraph (1) of paragraph 5 of " and Instructors in Horticulture and Bee-keeping ", and

(ii) the deletion in clause (b) of the said subparagraph (1) of " Instructors in Horticulture and Bee-keeping,".

EXPLANATORY NOTE.

These Regulations provide for the equation of the maintenance allowance payable to Instructors in Horticulture and Bee-keeping under Committees of Agriculture with that payable to Instructors in Agriculture.
