S.I. No. 148/1959 - Export Promotion Act, 1959 (Winding Up of Córas Tráchtála Teoranta) (Appointed Day) Order, 1959.


WHEREAS Córas Tráchtála Teoranta (hereinafter referred to as the Company) has, under subsection (1) of section 21 of the Export Promotion Act, 1959 (No. 20 of 1959), resolved by extraordinary resolution to wind up the Company :

AND WHEREAS the Company has, in pursuance of subsection (1) of section 70 of the Companies Consolidation Act, 1908, printed and forwarded to the registrar of companies a copy of the resolution and the registrar has, in pursuance of subsection (2) of the said section 21, registered the copy of the resolution, certified the registration under his hand and forwarded a copy of the certificate to the Minister for Industry and Commerce :

AND WHEREAS the said Minister has received the copy of the certificate so forwarded :

NOW I, JOHN LYNCH, Minister for Industry and Commerce, in pursuance of subsection (3) of section 21 of the Export Promotion Act, 1959 (No. 20 of 1959), hereby order as follows :

1. This Order may be cited as the Export Promotion Act, 1959 (Winding up of Córas Tráchtála Teoranta) (Appointed Day) Order, 1959.

2. The 1st day of September, 1959 is hereby appointed to be the day on which Córas Tráchtála Teoranta shall stand dissolved in accordance with subsection (3) of section 21 of the Export Promotion Act, 1959 (No. 20 of 1959).

EXPLANATORY NOTE.

The effect of this Order is to appoint the 1st day of September, 1959, to be the day on which Córas Tráchtála Teoranta will be dissolved and its property and liabilities will be transferred to Córas Tráchtála, which, on the same date, will be established as a Statutory Board to carry on the functions of promoting, assisting and developing exports.
