CREAMERY BUTTER (LEVY) (AMENDMENT) REGULATIONS, 1959.

I, PATRICK SMITH, Minister for Agriculture, in exercise of the powers conferred on me by section 18 of the Dairy Produce (Price Stabilisation) Act, 1935 (No. 21 of 1935), as amended by section 7 of the Dairy Produce (Price Stabilisation) (Amendment) Act, 1938 (No. 30 of 1938), and section 6 of the Dairy Produce (Price Stabilisation) (Amendment) Act, 1941 (No. 9 of 1941), hereby make the following regulations :

1.—(1) These Regulations may be cited as the Creamery Butter (Levy) (Amendment) Regulations, 1959.

(2) The Creamery Butter (Levy) Regulations, 1958 ( S.I. No. 73 of 1958 ), and these Regulations may be cited together as the Creamery Butter (Levy) Regulations, 1958 and 1959.

2. Article 3 of the Creamery Butter (Levy) Regulations, 1958, shall, with respect to creamery butter manufactured on or after the 1st day of July, 1959, have effect with the substitution of a reference to 9s. 8d. per cwt. for the reference to 26s. 8d. per cwt.

EXPLANATORY NOTE.

Under these Regulations the levy payable by creameries on sales of butter of their own manufacture produced on or after 1st July, 1959 is fixed at 9s. 8d. per cwt.
